La Joux Devant

This loop around Chaux-des-Prés takes the mountain biker to discover a multitude of landscapes in the Haut-Jura: peat bogs, forest, coombs...
Chaux-des-Prés is a delegated commune of the new commune of Nanchez, where the famous protected peat bogs have been located since 1 January 2016. An area to be discovered only on foot, even if some mountain bike trails pass nearby.
This loop starts from Chaux-des-Prés, which has the particularity of housing a church of the Holy Trinity on its main road, whose construction materials are worth observing. The trail then leads to Les Douillons and its peat bog, which was used to produce peat for heating and horticultural purposes until the 1970s.
The path then goes through the Joux Devant forest.
