The Museum of the Dukes of Württemberg Castle presents the exhibition "Comparative anatomy of imaginary species"!
Films, comics, comic books... fictional universes are fascinating and full of imaginary beings that borrow their fantastic characteristics from real species.
From the dragons of mythology to our neighbour #Totoro, from the monster of #Alien to the #Living, the exhibition Comparative anatomy of imaginary species is an opportunity to discover comparative anatomy and the sciences of evolution (palaeontology, biology, ...) through the rigorous but amusing analysis of fantastic species.
This 200 m2 exhibition presents large anatomical plates by Arnaud Rafaelian, original volumetric sculptures made by Ophys, and texts by Jean-Sébastien Steyer that you can find in the book Anatomie comparée des espèces imaginaires published simultaneously by Editions Cavalier Bleu.
> The museum is free on the first Sunday of the month. Limited places.
