Concert by the Orchestre Français des Jeunes at the Collégiale de Dole
The Orchestre Français des Jeunes was founded in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture to train future professionals to become orchestral musicians. Today, it is the only symphony orchestra for young people at this level in France for the repertoires of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The OFJ's teaching model is quite unique: three sessions take place at the Saline Royale, one in the summer, one in the autumn and one in the winter.
As part of its autumn residency from 23 to 31 October at the Saline Royale, the OFJ will be performing the classical repertoire on Saturday 28 October at the Collégiale Notre-Dame in Dole.
The programme for this major concert includes
- Symphony No. 5 by L.W. Beethoven
- Symphony concertante by Joseph Haydn
Julien Chauvin, conductor
