Les jambes à son cou

-

EDDY PALLARO | JEAN-BAPTISTE ANDRÉ
In this project in creation, there is the desire to translate for you physically, as metaphorically as concretely, the meaning of the expressions of the French language that mobilise the body. So, to get your foot in the door, throw yourself in head first!
The circus artist Jean Baptiste André has collected expressions that express a thought, a state, an emotion, with the desire to give them physical life. How does he do this? By taking them literally: "to have the heart on the hand", "to finish on the kneecaps", "to lend a hand", "to have the head on the shoulders", "to twist the neck of the preconceived ideas"... To make things "take shape", he has surrounded himself with two acrobat-dancers who combine gesture and words wonderfully. Carried by Eddy Pallaro's text, playing with the possibilities offered by associations of ideas and contortions, the trio joyfully indulges in the game of "saying what we do and doing what we say". In all simplicity, at the crossroads of circus and language, a burlesque world full of poetry takes shape, where the bodies, thrown into impossible acrobatics, reach a level of absurdity that makes you roll on the floor. A great time, without taking your head off!
