Throughout the month of October and early November, every Saturday afternoon, the Bugey Sud Grand Colombier Tourist Office offers you the visit of local farms. The opportunity to discover unique know-how! At an altitude of 300 m, in the small hamlet of Gevrin, Tanguy and his associates will make you discover their profession of craft beer brewers You will discover a range of 10 beer recipes and 5 different beers ranging from classic blonde, white, to brunette, amber and one of the specialties, a blonde with grapes. For this one, the grapes used come from the microbrewery's own vineyard, planted right next to it. Since January 2019, Tanguy Vray, Stanley Merz, Batiste Brochet and Axel Bolliet have created a micro-brewery they have named La Gevrinoise. Currently, nearly 20,000 liters of beer are produced each year. The malt used comes from an artisanal malting plant in Allonzier-la-Caille (Haute-Savoie), and for hops, it comes from Alsace and the second from Bourg-en-Bresse. The latter is certified bio-brewery. The 4 partners try to be as much as possible in a short circuit and the bottles are returnable After the different mixtures of hops, malt and water, in order to give different tastes to the beer, it takes about 5 days of fermentation, 3 to 4 weeks of decantation and ripening to discover the drink.
