The Romanesques

Theatre - From 11 years old - 1h30
800 Litres de Paille Company

A wall separates two gardens where a girl grows up on one side and a boy on the other. She and he secretly dream of living out their love far from the terrible hatred that tears their fathers apart, in the style of Romeo and Juliet (of which she and he are very, very, very big fans). In reality, the two fathers are great friends and feign this hatred so that their children, tempted by the forbidden, fall in love and marry. In this way, the wall can be torn down, their two pieces of land merged into one and (above all) their taxes perfectly reduced. As a last-ditch ploy, they call in Straforel, a former failed actor who has now turned professional kidnapper.
