CHLOÉ OLIVERES | PAPY
Humour - Theatre
Running time: 1 hour 10 minutes - From age 12
In this sunny solo with a devastating sense of humour, a nugget from the Avignon OFF Festival, a radiant actress in a sequined costume, who has always envied the heroine of Dirty Dancing or Ken's Barbie, takes us into her dream world, which is not always rosy...
Co-founder of the company Les Filles de Simone, known for its feminist creations (see Derrière le portlot se cache parfois du linge), Chloé Oliveres is embarking on her first one-woman show. In it, she puts her childhood dreams into abyme, combining the cerebral dexterity of an Annie Ernaux with the stage presence of a Florence Foresti, as if one had eaten the other, to give life to the character in this subtly humorous show; a story that plunges into the history of a woman fed on fairy tales, struggling to come to terms with her mid-life crisis. A woman of the 2020s, not quite liberated, fragile and powerful all at once, who without the gaze of a man isn't even sure she exists. With self-mockery, a sense of the tragic as well as the comedic, funny and endearing, Chloé narrates by any means, even a yoghurt song, the little things that have built the woman she has become today.
