GRP Champagnole Nozeroy Jura

-

Thanks to its many variations, this great country walk allows you to discover the "Champagnole Nozeroy Jura region", symbolised by the towns of Champagnole, Nozeroy and Foncine. Largely located in the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park, this itinerary takes in forests, white water and pastures and passes through some of the most beautiful sites in the department: Pertes de l'Ain, the medieval town of Nozeroy, the Palladian villa at Syam, the Billaude, Langouette and Bief de la Ruine waterfalls, the Malvaux gorges, the upper Saine valley...

Around Champagnole, walkers will discover the rugged terrain linked to the life of the River Ain: springs, waterfalls and numerous waterfalls. The medieval town of Nozeroy is surrounded by vast meadows, home to the Montbéliard cows whose milk is processed into Comté cheese. Finally, nestling at an altitude of over 1,000 m, Foncine is a green resort offering a wide range of activities in both winter and summer.

There are numerous options for varying the route and the number of days' hiking. For more information, contact the Maison du Tourisme.
