GRP Tour du lac de Vouglans

This 2 to 4 day country hike allows you to discover the Vouglans lake, the 3rd largest water reservoir in France. With its 37km length, this artificial lake is one of the most emblematic and wild of the Jura. Taking in numerous paths and small bucolic tracks along the lake, this itinerary is certainly one of the wildest and most refreshing in the department. The Tour du Lac de Vouglans offers many viewpoints along the beautiful itinerary, some swimming spots with the beaches of Surchauffant, Bellecin and La Mercantine and some curiosities such as the Pont de la Pyle, the Vouglans dam, the giant potholes at Pont-de-Poitte and the sunken chartreuse...

A variation is possible by crossing the lake at the Pont de la Pyle, allowing you to do a 50 km loop to the south and a 30 km loop to the north.
