Created in 1985 to display collections from excavations carried out in Champagnole and the surrounding area since 1965, the Archaeological Museum will tell you ALL about the daily lives of the Gallo-Romans and Merovingians who lived in the area around the "Pearl of the Jura" from the 1st to the 7th century AD.

Access to the 1st floor via an outside staircase. For people with reduced mobility: part of the museum can be accessed by lift during library opening hours.

Open all year round for groups, schools and individuals, subject to availability of the cultural mediation service.

Open from 4 July to 2 September, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm.

Reduced rate (students or groups of 10): €2.50
Disabled, unemployed and under-18s: free
Guided tour (by appointment and during opening hours):
-Groups of 10: visit to the museum €4.50 - visit to the museum and Mont-Rivel 1/2 day: €7
