The pleasure of the walk in snowshoes gives way in the evening to another joy, that of arriving at a mountain pasture chalet that seems to be sleeping under the snow. The refuge is perched high on the slopes of Mont Tendre (
After a hot meal and a good night's rest, it will be time to climb to the summit.
A week-end in contact with nature, to discover these mountains, so perfectly suited to snowshoe walking!
Reception at the station in Brassus at 9:30 a.m.
Distribution of the participants into the various cars and then a 20 drive into Switzerland and to reach the departure point.
Through the wooded meadows so typical of the Jura, and a vestige of the first inhabitants, we will set off to reach the Refuge du Cunay (1 h 30).After settling down and enjoying a meal at the refuge, a walk across the “hollows of hell” to the Pré de St Livre and its geological curiosity:. an ice cave ( 3 h ). Back at the refuge, the warmth is waiting for us.

Snowshoe walk over the peaks of the Jura. The route takes us through the Vaud Nature Park. Climb of the Mont Tendre (1679 m). From the summit, you can also get wonderful views over all the Alps and the basin of Lake Geneva. Walk through the spruce forests, looking for traces of the local wildlife (Chamois, Roe Deer, Hares, Capercailzie, Hazel Grouse, Lynx…). Cold meal at the refuge, and then a different route back to the starting point.

End of the stay at 17:00 p.m.
This programme is given as a rough guide, and may be modified by your guide, depending on weather and snow conditions.

THE PRICE INCLUDES :
The accommodation in the refuge (blankets provided), full board, accompaniment by a Jura Mountain guide, the equipment (snowshoes and sticks).
THE PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE :
Transport, the drinks and personal expenses, administrative costs (€ 7.50), individual equipment and any tourist tax that may be payable, civil liability insurance.
Additional night and half-board in stage lodgings. Arrival on the Friday evening by train (minimum 2 pers): reception at the station in Brassus at 22h22 or in La Cure at 20h44 + return transfer + night + breakfast = + €50/pers.
Cancellation insurance (3.5 % of the total price).
