Circuit VTT n°4 (rouge) - Meillonnas-Treffort-Cuisiat

Long bridle paths, rural roads, large preserved forests for the plain and some climbs on the mounts of Sanciat and Plantaglay.

Base VTT Espace Revermont - FFCT marking - n°4 - red

The beginning of the circuit is common with the FFCT n°1 " Tour du plan d'eau ".
In the forest, the circuit goes down towards Lucinge then joins the woods of Treffort until the composting plant. Cross the D.3 and go past the Poncin sawmill before crossing the Sevron. Go up towards St Etienne du Bois and turn left to take the Tharlet track. Cross the D52f and continue on the Teyssonge track to Sanciat (see the Calvary). Cross the D52 and climb the mount of Sanciat then turn left towards Meillonnas.
Meillonnas is a beautiful village with a very rich history linked to pottery and earthenware.
To see : the church and its wall paintings, the castle, the beautiful facades, the parks...

From Meillonnas take the mountain of Plantaglay (cave of the fairies and viewpoint on Treffort). Go down the valley to Treffort. Go up in the alleys of Treffort and go down towards the wash house of La Platte. Go up the valley in the direction of Cuisiat. (to see the Revermont Museum)
Before Cuisiat, turn left and take a portion of the D.52. Go down the meadows of Avocats to the pond.
