Base de Canoë-Kayak & Paddle des Gorges de l’Ain

Our discovery canoe trip starts in Thoirette, passes Lac de Conflans and its castle, and winds down part of the Ain gorges in a magnificent, green, wild and peaceful setting. With possible stops in the Valouse and at Les Marmites, ideal places for picnics and refreshments, the route ends at the landing stage at Corveissiat. The descent varies from 6 to 9 km, depending on whether or not you enter the lake and whether or not you go upstream to the mouth of the Valouse.
We have 6 three-seater canoes, 10 two-seater canoes and 8 single-seater kayaks. Buoyancy jackets and paddles are provided according to your body type. We also provide a 55-litre watertight barrel for each canoe. The activity is available for children aged 3 and over (15 kg minimum), for a person who knows how to swim, in the same canoe as the adult responsible for the child. You can bring your pet if you take a three-seater canoe for two people or a two-seater canoe for one person.
