Our discovery canoe trip starts in Thoirette, takes in Lac de Conflans and its castle, and winds down part of the Ain gorges in a magnificent, green, wild, surprising and peaceful setting. With possible stops in the Valouse and at Les Marmites, ideal places for picnics and refreshments, the route ends at the landing stage at Corveissiat. The descent varies from 6 to 9 km, depending on whether or not you enter the lake and whether or not you go upstream to the mouth of the Valouse. The return shuttle is scheduled for 3h30 after the start time.
Our Complete Canoe Itinerary starts below the Coiselet dam, 6 km upstream from the start of the Discovery Itinerary, including the latter. The route varies from 12 to 15 km depending on whether or not you enter the lake and whether or not you go upstream to the mouth of the Valouse. The return shuttle is scheduled for 6 hours after the start time.
We have 6 three-seater canoes, 10 two-seater canoes and 8 single-seater kayaks. Buoyancy jackets and paddles are provided according to your body type. We also provide a 55-litre watertight barrel for each canoe. The activity is available for children aged 3 and over (15 kg minimum), for a person who knows how to swim, in the same canoe as the adult responsible for the child. You can bring your pet if you take a three-seater canoe for two people or a two-seater canoe for one person.
