The Montbenoit sector, located in the north of the Jura massif, is a typical mid-mountain area, with a well-preserved architectural heritage, scattered villages and unspoilt countryside with a succession of coombs and forests. There are 4 sites around Montbenoit that are ideal for Nordic activities: La Cernay Blanche, Arc-sous-Cicon, Haut Saugeais Blanc and Gilley, each with their own special features.
Arc-sous-Cicon, the northernmost village in the area and closest to Besançon, is divided in two.
Some of the pistes start directly from the village: from the green piste to the red. A black run leads to the other part, the Crêt Monniot, snow conditions permitting.
From Crêt Monniot, at a higher altitude (1141 m), there are five cross-country ski trails, ranging from beginner to black.
Two snowshoe routes depart from Arc-sous-Cicon (1 from the village, one from Crêt Monniot).
Services: equipment hire, non-sac room, information point.
