Métabief is well known as one of the main downhill ski resorts in the Montagnes du Jura, but it is also a major Nordic site in the massif.
There are a host of practice sites in the area, including Les Fourgs - L'Herba, la Seigne and le Mont d'Or, so there's plenty for Nordic enthusiasts to enjoy! Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowtubing, play areas and even ski joëring, the diversity of activities on offer will satisfy every desire.
And if you want to get away from it all and get off the beaten track, what better way than to walk along the Mont d'Or ridge and take in the breathtaking views!
Métabief is also the starting point for the GTJ snowshoe trail, which continues all the way through the Jura massif to Giron in the Ain.
Métabief - Mont d'Or: at the foot of Mont d'Or, the Granges Raguin site is the ideal starting point for an escapade on the breathtaking Mont d'Or, on skis or snowshoes.
