Cycling loop 1 "The Besançon loop

This easy tour for all the family follows the banks of the river along the loop of the Doubs that encircles the city's historic centre. Along the way, you'll discover what makes Besançon so special: an immensely rich built heritage in an exceptional natural setting. The route is very easy along the river banks, but becomes more difficult to reach the lookouts (options): around 3km and 160m of additional ascent to reach each lookout.
