This challenging route alternates between pasture and woodland, downhill and uphill, Jura and Doubs. A route with breathtaking scenery, including the Combe Noire which gives it its name.
Leaving from Mignovillard, this route passes through pastures and forests. Some of the climbs are difficult, and you'll need to make a bit of an effort to reach the Chalet de la Bourre, from where other hikes start. Make sure you take the right direction!
We then descend through undergrowth to Combe Noire, a mysterious combe in Haute-Joux whose vegetation is said to be "worthy of Finnish forests". This section is very popular, with its succession of small bumps on a carpet of grass.
The highest point on the route is Les 3 Taureaux. Another descent and a final climb to overlook the Frasne valley. The Côte de Bonnevaux descent at the end is the most technical part of this walk between the Jura and the Doubs.
