Here is a walk under the sign of water, to meet three lakes: those of Clairvaux and Vouglans, the third largest artificial lake in France with a length of 35 kilometres. From Clairvaux-les-Lacs, the route crosses pastures and cereal fields to reach Barésia-sur-l'Ain, a small rural village well known to carnivore anglers. Along the Vouglans lake, the wild banks open up to offer unusual views of the emerald waters of the Vouglans lake. This route does not present any particular difficulty as the two main climbs, located before Auge and Thoiria, are on very rolling paths.
