This tour takes you to the eastern part of the Val d'Amour, along the River Loue, considered one of the most beautiful rivers in France. This tributary of the Doubs has given rise to many legends and was once used to transport wood from the Chaux forest and various other commodities by the radeliers who sailed their boats at the rhythm of the water. The route also takes in the forest and the coast of Champagne-sur-Loue, from where you can contemplate the Royal Saltworks of Arc et Senans, a masterpiece of the architect Claude Nicolas Ledoux, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
