The Hind circuit

This family trail explores the lower Loue valley and its "mortes", former arms of the river with their typical atmosphere. Alternating passages in the forest, on the water's edge or in the middle of the fields, the walk also reveals a rich historical and built heritage, including in particular the castle of Clairvans and the remains of a timber rafting port used by the Loue raftsmen until 1901.
A few kilometres from this route, a stopover is required at Arc et Senans and its famous Royal Saltworks, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
