A route along the paths and singles of the exceptional Risoux forest, a spruce forest stretched out on a plateau oscillating between 1,200 and 1,300 metres in altitude, dented by glacial erosion. This specific natural environment is home to original species, such as the capercaillie, protected by a biotope decree. In winter, the Risoux is also a popular training ground for cross-country skiers, as every year the forest is crossed by France's largest cross-country ski race: the Transjurassienne!
