-

Eighteen minutes and thirty-four seconds: that's how long it took Elijah to come last in the school cross-country race. Since then, we've avoided even talking to him. He's always the last one picked in the team, the one for whom no one makes room at the canteen table. Élie is slow, very slow, too slow. Worse, he slows us down. On stage, five performers bring this story to life with a dance that plays with energy and speed. Images projected onto a large screen, captured by a dancer equipped with a camera, multiply the angles of vision and zoom in on a situation, a gesture, an emotion. Immersed in a flood of sensations and images, we follow in the footsteps of Elijah, who chooses to take refuge in his cabin in the woods, rather than get caught up in a race for performance and efficiency. Somewhere between dream cinema and danced reverie, this precipitate of slowness opens wide the doors of the imagination and invites us to slow down, to experiment with other ways of being in the world. Suspended time, time to dream! By ARCOSM company
