203rd birthday of Louis Pasteur

Admission to the birthplace will be free on 27 December 2025 and there will be a special programme:

3pm to 5pm Flash tours of the museum by volunteers from the Société des Amis de Pasteur

5pm Dramatised lecture: A lesson at the Salpêtrière is a Grand-Guignol play proposed in 1908 by André de Lorde "the Prince of Fear" and by Alfred Binet "the Prince of Psychology".
Professor emeritus at the University of Burgundy-Europe, Daniel Raichvarg, accompanied by Sonia Leveau, looks back at this play inspired by the work of Jean-Martin Charcot and the famous painting of the same name depicting him: a 'live' experience, by turns disconcerting, fascinating and... disturbing.

18:00 tribute to the scientist in front of the statue of Pasteur, passage de l'abreuvoir.

6.15pm Talk on Pasteur and Alsace, by Alain Marchal, Honorary President of the Société des Amis de Pasteur.
6.30pm: The talk will be followed by a cocktail reception.
