News from the Founding Fathers of the United States. Edmond DZIEMBOWSKI The birth of the United States of America is inextricably linked to the work of the great protagonists of the Revolution and War of Independence (1774-1783), who in 1787 drafted the first written constitution in world history, still in force today. The conference will recall the contribution of figures such as Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and, of course, George Washington, to the birth and affirmation of a republic based on the principles defended by these "Founding Fathers". After withstanding more than one shocks of history, these principles inherited from the French and British Enlightenment now find themselves in the crossfire of an unprecedented political radicalism that puts them in jeopardy.
