The young Gustave Courbet was faced with a choice: do the studies his father had chosen for him, or follow his dreams and do everything he could to become an artist. He decided to follow his dreams, and today he is a famous painter with works exhibited all over the world.
This question still resonates with many people today, who find themselves having to choose between these two options.
