"Le Chant des Hêtres

For musicians and non-musicians motivated by holistic work on body and voice.

Presentation:
Dance and song are, and always have been, the ultimate means of expressing such a contrasting palette of our emotions, dreams and hopes, combining sorrow and joy in the unconscious desire for a sense of wholeness.
In this way, integrating our inner life into our artistic expression allows us to broaden its meaning and intensity, as well as extracting the part of it that is dearest to our hearts.

Letting your voice shine through requires you to engage your whole being, playing games on your own and with others:
- physical: energetic breathing, stretching, massage, finding fluidity and flow in movement, finding support in the ground, in your own body and in contact dance; working on rhythm:
- emotional: the emotion of the moment, the yearning of the heart
- mental: each person's own imagination, visualisation, language, etc.

Sequence of a session :
1/ Interiorisation: relax, tame your breathing, become aware of your physical and emotional feelings; listen and make yourself available to your body's need to move.
The individuality of each person is encouraged; the aim is to encourage, with confidence, the emergence of movement that comes from within - this is spontaneous movement.

2/ Movement: without music, then with music, this spontaneous movement is invited to develop: it is through awareness with every fibre of our body of what underpins every living being (the breath, the ground, the light, etc.) that our mind agrees to "hand over the reins" to the body.
From this common fertile ground, each person's unique sensibility can blossom, in terms of movement and voice.

3/ Voice: born of increasingly free movement, attentive to the needs of the body, the voice can naturally open up in turn, into unexpected and accepted sounds (!), then into improvised melodies.
