Bike ride & botanical discovery of taste

Cycle from Arbois through the vineyards and surrounding countryside to Les Jardins du Bief Salé in Grozon!

ON THE PROGRAMME :

Meet at 8.45am (or 2.45pm if afternoon) at the A Tour de Roues shop, opposite the church in Arbois, to find out the route that awaits you and collect your bikes.
You will be on your own: a paper map or a GPS track will be your guide.

From the shop, set off by bike along the paths through the vineyards and surrounding countryside, heading for Les Jardins du Bief Salé, in Grozon.

After around 1h30 of pedalling, you'll arrive at Les Jardins, a colourful and very peaceful environment.
Join Elvina, an organic grower of aromatic and medicinal plants, for a botanical tour of her farm. Let her guide you and awaken your senses!

The tour (approx. 1h15):
- As soon as you arrive, enjoy a home-made herbal tea or herbal syrup to quench your thirst.
- Guided tour of the gardens and the stages of production
- Sensory game: try to identify plants freshly picked from the garden by smell and taste!
- Enjoy a tasting of herbal teas or syrups, edible plants and bear's garlic pesto from the Jardins du Bief Salé.

Return of bikes before 1pm (morning format) / before 7pm (afternoon format)

BIKE ROUTE INFO :

If you have chosen an electric bike :
- Duration of cycle loop: 1h45
- Difficulty: easy
- Accessibility: people from 1.50 m, children in child seats up to 6 years old
- Front basket or pannier (on request) provided.
Please note: if you opt for electrically-assisted mountain bikes, it will not be possible to install a child seat.

If you have chosen a mechanical mountain bike :
- Duration of bike loop: 2 hours
- Difficulty: intermediate (320m ascent)
- Accessibility: people in good physical condition / children's mountain bikes from age 6

Total duration of the experience: 3h30-4h
Prior registration required
This is a group experience, so you are likely to share the route and visit with people other than your group (subject to availability of bikes).

The experience includes :
- Bike hire (VAE or mechanical mountain bike)
- A helmet
- A map (with map holder) or a scan of the GPS route (with phone holder)
- Assistance in the event of technical problems

It does not include :
- Bicycle and personal insurance

What to bring :
- Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing for cycling and walking in the gardens
- Water bottle
