A brand new comic book concert: "Un Océan d'Amour" with the Grandval Orchestra. The Grandval Orchestra is embarking on a unique artistic experiment: a comic-book concert, where images and music come together to tell a story full of humour, tenderness and adventure.
A tender, whimsical story. Created by Wilfrid Lupano and Grégory Panaccione, "Un Océan d'Amour", a silent comic strip, has won over many readers and won the Prix BD Fnac France Inter in 2015. It tells the story of a modest fisherman from Brittany who is caught in the middle of the sea by an industrial cargo ship, and of his wife, an intrepid Bigoudène who is determined to find him. A burlesque, touching and resolutely poetic quest.
When music enhances images. For this original adaptation, Dougal Kemp, a composer with a passion for film music, has composed an original score. Conducted by Théo Feuvrier, the Grandval Orchestra has taken this work and given it a new dimension.
With no dialogue, no text, driven solely by the power of the drawings and the richness of the orchestral score, this BD-Concert is an artistic challenge and an extraordinary collective adventure.
