Casse-Noisette (The Royal Ballet)

In a few words : The magician Monsieur Drosselmeyer must rescue his nephew Hans-Peter, who has been turned into a nutcracker. To have a chance of saving him, the Nutcracker must defeat the Mouse King and find a young girl who will love him. A glimmer of hope appears in the form of young Clara, whom Drosselmeyer meets on Christmas Eve. A touch of magic, and a pleasant Christmas Eve turns into a wonderful adventure. Peter Wright's Nutcracker has enchanted audiences since the company first performed it in 1984. Tchaikovsky's best-known melodies combined with Julia Trevelyan Oman's resplendent sets will undoubtedly make The Nutcracker a sparkling, festive treat enjoyed by the whole family.
