Concert: Hugo Diaz Quartet

The Conservatoire is delighted to invite saxophonist Hugo Diaz, one of its most talented students,
who returns here with his current quartet.
After studying saxophone, jazz and teaching, Hugo Diaz now draws on a wide range of influences to develop his musical language, in which writing and improvisation go hand in hand.
In 2022, he formed his own quartet, developing a repertoire essentially made up of original compositions in a singular aesthetic ranging from jazz to a modernity imbued with a certain lyricism. The group has won a number of awards and has been supported by Big Bang, the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté jazz cluster.
