Contemporary music concerts - Ô GUERILLERES by DRAGA
A founding figure of radical feminism, the philosopher and novelist Monique Wittig is now at the heart of contemporary thinking and issues, and her work - both theoretical and literary - is resonating with younger generations. It was from Les Guérillères (1969) that Draga drew the texts for his first album, published in May 2025. The story, a kind of epic poem or revolutionary epic, depicts a female community struggling against patriarchal oppression, describing its rites and beliefs and the need to forge a new language for new thinking and new lives.
Buoyed by the power of the text, the group - Lucie Antunes, Anna Mouglalis, P.R2B, Théodora Delilez and Narumi Herisson - deliver a flamboyant, protean version of the work, which is part committed rock, part kraut, part analogue electro and part post-punk.
