Bee mortality - André Fougeroux.
For several years now, Europe has been facing a worrying deterioration in the health of honey bees. The scientific consensus is that this deterioration is due to a combination of factors, including varroa mites, viruses, pathogens, a scarcity of food resources for bees and changes in beekeeping and farming practices. All this in the context of strong international competition on the honey market, dominated by China. All of these factors are contributing to a beekeeping malaise that has received a great deal of media coverage.
