Ayurveda cycle
Ayurveda cycle
Four dates, with the option of attending one workshop, several or the whole cycle.
Ayurveda (Science of Life) is the oldest health system in the world. Recognised by the WHO (World Health Organisation), Ayurveda is a profound source of well-being, prevention and health. Its invaluable teachings have now spread beyond India's borders, inviting us to return to the fundamental health of our body-mind-spirit trilogy.
Ayurveda suggests that we get to know ourselves better in order to achieve better balance at physical, physiological, energetic and mental levels. By determining our individual constitution, ayurveda offers us guidelines for adjusting our lifestyle, our diet, our activity and our physical and mental rhythms.
Workshops to get to know yourself better
The workshops are held in small groups, so that everyone can benefit fully from the opportunity to share their personal experience. Each participant will be able to determine his or her own unique constitution, and understand what is beneficial or less appropriate for him or her in the various areas of daily life. Two yoga practices on a chair will be offered during each workshop (the first in connection with the course, the second relaxing).
Fridays
- 5 December: determining your constitution
- 30 January: adjusting your lifestyle
- 27 February: balancing your diet
- 27 March: What have we learned?
A chair yoga session will be offered before and after the workshops, along with a few tips on how to get to know yourself better: listening, lifestyle, diet.
WORKSHOP 1: Determining your constitution
- A general approach to Ayurveda (=the science of life)
- The 5 elements and the 3 constitutions (the 3 constitutions: vata (air), pitta (fire), kapha (earth) are a key concept in Ayurveda that enable us to determine our individual constitution).
- Determining your individual constitution: morphology, metabolism, emotional and mental approach
WORKSHOP 2: Adjusting your lifestyle
- Reminder of the 3 constitutions
- Balancing your lifestyle according to the seasons, climatic changes and where you live.
- Recommendations according to constitution.
WORKSHOP 3: Balancing your diet
- Reminder of the 3 constitutions
- Agni: the digestive fire - Ama: toxins
- The general principles of a balanced diet for each constitution
- The first principles of application in our daily lives *.
WORKSHOP 4: What have we learnt?
- Review of the constitutions
- Review: applications in our daily lives. Pooling our experiences
- Some ideas for an "ayurvedic" spring and summer (yoga practices, diet).
WHO IS IT FOR?
For all those who want to get to know themselves better, who are interested in better health through prevention, who want to balance their physical and mental energies.
HOW CAN I ATTEND?
Work in small groups (12 people), sometimes by 2 or 3. Work alternates between workshops and yoga sessions linked to the theme of the workshop.
Dialogue and listening will be encouraged, as our experience always adds a little something to the other person's quest for a better understanding of themselves...
Under no circumstances will there be any question of treatment with drugs or various "magic potions"... Just prevention and recommendations for everyday life.
