The Renault Trucks plant (now part of the Volvo Group) was established in Bourg under the name "Berliet" in 1964. Today, as part of the Volvo Group, the plant is one of 4 production sites in France (33,000 vehicles over 16 tons by 2023) and the largest private employer in the Grand Bourg Agglomération. Follow the entire production line right up to the truck's exit from the parking lot. The huge workshops are a hive of well-orchestrated activity; experience the plant's day-to-day operations through its production processes, but also its current environmental issues. The Burg factory is about to embark on electromobility and decarbonization (I-tech electric vehicles line). A great adventure to share. Reservations required.
