EUROVÉLO, de l'Atlantique à la Mer Noire

It's often called, by way of shorthand, the Nantes-Budapest! Neither a sailing race nor a mythical railroad line, it's just one of the many nicknames for EuroVélo 6, the EuroVélo Route des Fleuves which, from Saint Nazaire on the Atlantic to Constanţa on the Black Sea, links Western and Eastern Europe over 5,000 km of cycling through 10 countries: France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania. For 5 months, Catherine and Olivier Bourguet pedaled along the banks of the Loire, Rhine and Danube with their two young daughters, Luna and Marine, aged 6 and 8. An extraordinary journey, an invitation to travel slowly, to make a reality of this beautiful utopia of European construction, unity in diversity! It's an adventure that many people can identify with, with its moments of happiness, but also the more difficult ones that Olivier recounts with modesty and humor, knowing how to distance himself from the facts to get the best out of them. The spectator soon becomes part of the troupe, pedaling along with them, following the ups and downs along the way, and learning a little about history, geography and nature on every page!
