JANNET exhibition, contemporary collages

"Through my Worlds, I give you mine, tangled, heterogeneous and disparate.
A world where landmarks are deliberately misused, messages resolutely diverted and perspectives valiantly abused.
Derision and irrationality drive my gestures and choices towards harlequin, pathetic and often insolent works.
My technique of cutting and pasting bits and pieces of images scavenged here and there is undoubtedly no stranger to the boundless admiration I have for the obscure and brilliant representatives of Art Brut.
These fragments, which come together, overlap and confront each other, often lead me to cities that are still standing despite everything, faltering cities that are catching up, relic cities, cities that are reluctant to disappear, always towards worlds where derision vies with the absurd, inexorably and joyfully towards chaos..."
