Exhibition - In the land of Bourbaki
Organised by the Musée de Pontarlier
In 1870, the Germans invaded France. The Army of the East, known as the Bourbaki Army, was sent to liberate Belfort, which was under siege. Defeated, it retreated to Lyon via Pontarlier. Surrounded by the Germans, it finally asked to be interned in neutral Switzerland.
