Group show: Le Cyclope n'avait qu'un oeil mais c'est le bon
19 CRAC in Montbéliard presents the group exhibition Le Cyclope n'avait qu'un œil mais c'était le bon, featuring works from the Frac Franche-Comté collection.
Borrowing its title from a painting by Alfred Courmes (1960), the exhibition takes an artistic look at our contemporary world. The selection brings together plastic, sound, film and installation works that question time, memory, language and the turbulence of our society, between historical narratives, fictions and critical perspectives.
Through ten artists with varied practices, the exhibition questions the vigilance of the gaze, the insight of artists and the role of a public collection as a narrative of our times.
