The exhibition, produced entirely by the "Eiffel né à Dijon" association, offers an overview of the great builder's life, through a tour based on 27 thematic and chronological panels, a collection of objects and documents, and digital resources. Two temporal sections:
Iron knowledge: This period covers all the stages in Gustave Eiffel's professional life as a steel construction contractor.
Mastery of air: explains the entire phase of scientific research that Gustave Eiffel carried out in a wide range of fields, including meteorology, air resistance, aeronautics, radio, etc.
With the help of original documents provided by the Musée d'Orsay, the Archives Nationales du Monde du Travail, the Dijon municipal library, the St-Flour archives and associations such as the ADGE, "Eiffel né à Dijon" and the Association des amis de Garabit, this exhibition showcases the industrial, entrepreneurial and scientific epic of Dijon's most famous builder.
