Pascal Herrmann exhibition

-

Exhibition from 9 to 23 September as part of the Journées Nationales des Artistes (JNA - National Artists' Days)

La Halle aux Arts in Saint-Vit will be welcoming Pascal HERRMANN as part of this first edition of the JNA, an event that promotes solidarity, education and facilitates the visibility of artists, the sale of works and direct encounters between artists and the public.

A plastic painter, he graduated from the Besançon School of Fine Arts in 1975 and from the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers in Paris in 1993.

In Pascal Herrmann's paintings, there is a fascination with the plant and mineral world that takes us on an endless journey through the paths of our beautiful region, where green meets blue, where movement meets form, where peace prevails over possible movement.

His paintings of nature also express the luxuriance of the plants and flowers, which evoke a muted nostalgia for a time when nature reigned without concern for climatic disasters or atrocious pollution.

Pascal Herrmann tries to translate his emotions when faced with the 4 elements he encounters, most often on his walks. It becomes a pretext for interpretation on canvas, where, if you let yourself travel, music and sound accompany your gaze. The painter uses oils, acrylics and inks as mediums, often superimposed on the same painting in several translucent layers, giving depth to his compositions.
