Perseids" exhibition
The "Perséides" exhibition is the result of a regional residency carried out in 2024 by artists Jeanne Morel and Paul Marlier with pupils from Souvans, Belmont and La Loye schools.
The Perseids are the traces, lines and imprints left by the stars as they streak across the sky.
How can we find a refuge through art, meditation, dance, film and drawing, and how can we translate and share it using artificial intelligence? How can we make it travel?
Words, drawings, works of art and the singularities of young people from Souvans, Belmont and La Loye come together to create a neutral ground, a genesis where it will once again be possible to tell the story, our story as living beings, whatever form we take.
Perséides works on the imprint, the trace, the gesture: what exists in our hearts and what we leave behind us. It's about combining the emotional intelligence of each student with digital art and artificial intelligence to bring each person's imagination to life.
In this exhibition, the students' creations sit alongside images filmed by Jeanne Morel and Paul Marlier. It's a journey into dream worlds, an immersive experience of universal ballet. A ballet in which there is not, and never will be, a principal dancer.
The exhibition will be on show at the Espace culturel in Mont-sous-Vaudrey from 28 March to 26 April.
Free access during library opening hours.
Opening on Friday 28 March at 6pm, in the presence of Jeanne Morel and the students who took part in the workshops.
