Temporary exhibition - Jean-Bernard Butin, The Vitality of Little

Jean-Bernard Butin is an artist from the Jura region, well known for his stripped-down approach to expression. He is also a creative artist in the broadest sense of the term - in turn a painter, sculptor and engraver - whose career began in a more expressive style during his youth.

This exhibition, in the form of a retrospective, will look back over fifty years of creative work, exploring all the facets of an art centred on several essential components, notably light, matter and time.

It is from these aspects that Jean Bernard-Butin composes an art made up of renunciations but nonetheless sensitive and rich in meaning.
