Turners and arts and crafts festival

-

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Association des tourneurs de Franche-Comté (Franche-Comté Turners' Association) is once again organising its major festival of turners and arts and crafts at DOLEXPO.

This year being a special one, the many craftsmen and associations passionate about wood will be joined by a large number of creators specialising in other fields such as iron, leather, glass and other materials. Together, they'll be bringing you a wide range of original, high-quality objects. They will be happy to share their sensibilities and their manufacturing secrets with you. A number of producers will also be on hand to show you their local produce.
There will also be professionals on hand, offering the latest innovations in woodworking equipment and materials, as well as specialist books and magazines.

In the centre of the hall, there will be a retrospective of the various themes that have delighted visitors and exhibitors over the past 20 years.

Various demonstrations will be given on the stands by some of the exhibitors, by the Pierre Vernotte high school in Moirans, and by members of the association in a dedicated area.

This year, we are lucky enough to welcome Mr Thierry Bertheas, from the South of France, who creates original modern works of great finesse.
He will be giving 3 demonstrations: 1st day African sculpture, 2nd day graphic box and 3rd day router sculpture.

There will also be an angling competition for children and adults, with prizes of turned wooden objects to be won each time.
On-site catering, waffles and crêpes in the afternoons.
Single entry fee of €6, 3-day pass €10, free entry for under-12s.
