Exhibition Alex CLAUDE - Horizon commun : Dialogue with Auguste Pointelin
This summer, the Musée d'Art Hôtel Sarret in Grozon is delighted to be hosting an exceptional exhibition devoted to contemporary artist Alex Claude. From 1 July to 28 September 2025, the public is invited to discover "Horizon commun: Dialogue avec Auguste Pointelin", an artistic encounter combining imaginary landscapes and the subtle interplay of light and matter.
Alex Claude paints landscapes that are both vibrant and enigmatic, where the brushstroke, sometimes silky, sometimes fleeting, sometimes shrill, inscribes an expressive and singular gesture on the very surface of the work. More than a simple plastic gesture, these paintings offer a delicate pictorial exploration, where muted tones sparkle with a particular brilliance.
The subtlety of the nuances unfolds sensations, evoking the work of his predecessor Auguste Pointellin, a sensitive and inspiring landscape painter. Through landscapes born of intimate peregrinations, Alex Claude gives shape to a part of the unfathomable, mixing invasive gestures and abyssal chromatic variations, revealing an artist who is both transgressive and deeply in search of a fusional order with nature.
This immersive exhibition invites a dialogue between the two artistic universes, questioning our relationship with time, space and the horizon, symbol of infinity and the future.
The Musée d'Art Hôtel Sarret de Grozon invites you to plunge into this singular universe, rich in emotions and artistic reflections.
