The Confrérie des Chevaliers des Paisseaux is 33 years old. A true link with festivities, wine and conviviality, the brotherhood organised a tasting session twice a year in the cellars of Arbois town hall, with a popular jury of distinguished tasters, renowned winegrowers, oenologists and high dignitaries. The best grands crus were selected and nearly 250 winners were awarded the seal of the Tastevin, the coat of arms of the brotherhood.
This distinction rewarded the high quality of their wines and their compliance with the characteristics of their appellations and vintages. From the 90s onwards, the ceremonies became more commonplace, giving way to the first knights' enthronements chosen from among celebrities and tourists.
