When the notes of jazz soar between the walls of Fort l'Écluse, past and present meet in a magical atmosphere. Ô de mon Chéri and his band of cheerful, elegant boys revisit a few standards from the repertoire and some lesser-known gems, with a little diversions into French chanson. Sometimes slipping into the shoes of Aznavour, sometimes Billie Holiday or Rose Murphy, the Parisian singer conjures up the ghosts of Duke Ellington and Cole Porter, and sprinkles in a little bit of the Roaring Twenties in this third millennium that's lacking a bit.
