In 1815, Edmond Dantès, a young captain, falls victim to a plot and is unjustly imprisoned in the jails of the Château d'If off the coast of Marseille on the evening of his engagement to the beautiful Mercédès. After fourteen years in captivity, he manages to escape and his adventure leads him to the hidden treasure on the island of Monte Cristo. He began a new life as the Count of Monte Cristo. Now rich and powerful, but having lost the love of his life, Dantès is determined to exact his revenge by making those who sent him to prison pay...
"The Legend of Monte Cristo, the Musical" is a musical comedy adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' masterpiece and will be the event of the year 2026.
With Gjon's Tears as Dantès and Philippine Lavrey as Mercedes, and over twenty people on stage, this show, directed by Serge Postigo, will thrill audiences with its fabulous songs, choreography and sets.
Starting in January 2026 at the Dôme de Paris, the show will tour throughout France, Switzerland and Belgium.
