Marie Lorenz's exhibition CONFLUENCE and Gaëlle Cognée's LA FRONTIÈRE NE DORT JAMAIS each explore, in their own way, notions of common goods and common places.
Based on an observation of the relationships between an environment and the organisms that inhabit it2, the artists see their research subjects as fellow travellers from whom it is possible to move reality towards a poetics. They adopt an "anthropological posture of participant observation [...] where difference brings beings together in common rather than dividing them by opposing their respective identities 3". So it's by surveying the territories that they produce new narratives, like storytellers.
