At the School of Love, Agnès shows that it is dangerous to underestimate young girls. Arnolphe is a middle-aged man who would like to enjoy marital bliss, but is haunted by the fear of being cheated on by a woman. So he decides to marry his ward Agnès, who has been brought up in ignorance.
